About The Dales Animal Physiotherapy:

The Dales Animal Physiotherapy was established in 2022 and is owned and run by Gemma Hennigan.

Gemma started her Physiotherapy career in the NHS, which has enabled her to gain 16 years of extensive qualified experience in a variety of specialist areas, including learning disabilities, trauma and orthopaedics, stroke, neurosurgery, older people’s mental health, complex health presentations, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain and persistent physical symptoms.

In 2020, Gemma started her Veterinary Physiotherapy studies at Hartpury University – completing her Postgraduate Diploma after 2 years of intense study. Hartpury University's Veterinary Physiotherapy course is one of two approved courses in the UK available to Chartered Physiotherapists wishing to further their academic qualifications into Veterinary Physiotherapy. Hartpury University offers some of the best teaching from practitioners and researchers in the profession. As part of her studies, Gemma has been privileged to train and learn from some of the leading Veterinary Physiotherapists in the profession, whilst out on clinical placement.
